I enjoyed this book. It had an interesting plot, fairly well developed characters, and some humor mixed in, as well. The reason it only rated a three was because I found myself continuously distracted by the poor editing. As a retired English teacher, I get how the creative process sometimes can't be halted to fix the mistakes; but I really wish this talented author would hire someone to edit her work properly so I wouldn't find myself double-checking what she's trying to get across every other page.Product details

Wow. This is a romance with a lot more going on. The underlying themes include concepts of "strength coming in small packages" and "not to judge a person (or shifter) by their appearance or parentage". It is clearly a good versus evil story with extremist wolf shifters going after other shifters because they protect those with mixed heritage whether wolf or other type of shifter. It is a small part of the story, but Rye's grandmother is one cool granny.
Interesting perspective on shifters. Characters fairly well-developed, plot was a bit sparse, and editing -- help, please. Held my interest enough to finish the book, but not interested enough to follow the series.
I really wanted to like this book. The story sounded good and I thought Aisling's parentage was very interesting. The writing wasn't bad but the story was slow and clunky. I only made it through 70% of the book. Most of the book was Rygan wondering if she could be his mate or not. The storyline barely moved along. There wasn't much building of the romance between the characters, no sexual tension or any tension really. No real depth to any of the characters or interactions. And if you read these books for the sex scenes you will be sorely disappointed. They are short and awkwardly written. Plus, Rygan made a few comments/thoughts toward an ex-lover and his furniture mate that made me want to slap him. A lot of potential in this book but it fell flat for me. Might give this author a go down the line but no more for now. Returned the book for a refund.
Aisling is very relatable, she has a characteristic about herself that she is embarrassed by and has been teased/ bullied about most of her life. She's to the point she tries to hide it from everyone. Even with this thing she's embarrassed by she's still a tough and impressive person.
Raygan has the fate of so many people on his shoulders, but even though he's in charge of so many he is still fun and likeable.
There is a whole new world and different cultures in this book that are exciting and I can't wait for more.
Aisling is awesome, she is a loner and when Rygan and his pride show up in her sight, get ready for a show. This story is so fun and the characters are interesting. It is a exciting and shocking story with shifters being out in the world and a unique view on the possibilities of paranormals. I can not wait for more stories in this series.

I enjoyed this book. It was about cat shifters, there were some wolves also involved, a love story and a war. It wasn't a long story but there were about another four short stories which were ok. When I buy a book and I did buy this one I prefer to know that is just a short story and then I can decide whether I wish to spend my money for it rather than buy it expecting a full length novel and be disappointed because the extra stories are not what I am interested in. This is one of my pet hates.
Having had my little rant lets get back to the review. The plot was good, the characters were believable, there was enough action and distraction to keep the story moving, add a little betrayal, a war and a love story, what more could you ask for. I would recommend this book but keep in mind it is not a full length book.
I really was excited to get this book and read it. Unfortunately, this author needs to have the books edited. There are missing words in sentences and you lose what is happening. there are extra words as if the thought and sentences started as one choice, and the delete button missed a word or two when it was retyped. Another of the items that is repeated in this book from "Some Girls Do It" and "Shy Girls Write It Better" are the words typed together, no spaces. the characters and stories are entertaining, it's just the printing is distracting. Hopefully this author will have all five books re-edited and re-issued as updated versions that will load to your automatically or through a free content update.update
